PRIVACY STATEMENT TT CIRCUIT ASSEN

I. Privacy

The TT Circuit Assen is the trade name of Circuit van Drenthe B.V. and Circuit van Drenthe Evenementen B.V. and is part of the Stichting Circuit van Drenthe.
TT Circuit Assen respects the privacy of its customers and of all visitors to the website
www.ttcircuit.com and ensures that personal data is treated confidentially.
Privacy protection is important when it comes to the processing of personal data, which is why we take it especially into consideration. Personal data is processed in accordance with the statutory provisions such as the Wbp (Dutch Personal Data Protection Act). The personal data is stored on protected servers. Agreements with other parties are only entered into if they can confirm that they will comply with the statutory provisions.

II. Purposes of the processing of personal data

TT Circuit Assen collects data from customers, both for the dispatch of the tickets purchased from TT Circuit Assen and to inform its customers about its events (or to cause this to be done).
In addition, TT Circuit Assen collects data in order to carry out surveys into ways to improve its events.
Finally, TT Circuit Assen uses the data to both apply and fulfil statutory obligations.
By entering into an agreement with TT Circuit Assen, the customer gives TT Circuit Assen permission for the processing of the personal data as described above.

III. E-mail

When placing an order via the website, the customer fills in their data (i.e. details) themselves on a special electronic form. They can also register for other services, including  to receive newsletters or e-mail alerts. These services can be unsubscribed from at any time via the ‘Afmelden’ (‘Unsubscribe’) button in the e-mail in question.

IV. Data storage

TT Circuit Assen does not retain data longer than is necessary. This does not apply for those customers who have stated that they wish to receive advertising via e-mail. The data of these customers is retained until such time as they unsubscribe. Subsequently the data is solely used for statistical purposes.

V. Security

TT Circuit Assen has put technical and organisational security measures in place in order to protect the data that it has in its possession against unintentional or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction and/or perusal by unauthorised persons.

VI. Cookies

Cookies are small text files that contain certain data that the browser stores on your computer’s hard disk. Cookies ensure that you can ‘surf’ more easily, because previously visited websites already ‘know’ the computer. This makes it unnecessary to have to enter certain data again for each new visit to that website. Almost all leading websites use cookies to optimise Internet traffic. TT Circuit Assen uses cookies to be able to recognise each customer for each new visit the latter makes to the website. Cookies enable an organisation to collect information about the use made of the services and helps it to modify and improve them. Cookies provide information relating to personal identification. Any browser can be configured so that cookies are refused or that a warning is received when cookies are sent.

VII. Social plug-ins

The TT Circuit Assen webstore contains social plug-ins of the social network facebook.com. The operator of that network is Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (hereinafter: ‘Facebook’). If a user accesses a page of a webstore with a social plug-in (also known as the ‘Like’ button), the user’s browser creates a connection with Facebook’s servers in order to download the data needed for the social plug-in(s). Facebook then receives information about the web address of the webstore that the user is visiting, as well as about the date and time of access and the user’s IP address. If the user is registered with Facebook then Facebook is also able to link the user’s visit to that page of the webstore with the user’s Facebook page. If the user clicks on the ‘Like’ button displayed on a page of the webstore then this information too is sent to Facebook and stored there. If the user does not want this information to be sent to Facebook then he or she has to log out of Facebook before he or she visits the webstore. If the webstore user is not a member of Facebook then Facebook may decide to store the user’s IP address. TT Circuit Assen does not have any influence over the content of the plug-ins or of the information passed on to Facebook. The purpose and scope of the data collection, the further processing and the use that Facebook makes of the data, as well as the user’s rights and other options to protect user privacy, can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy via the following link: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

VIII. Objections

A customer can submit a written objection to TT Circuit Assen in respect of the processing of personal data for Direct Marketing purposes or for other commercial purposes. At a customer’s initial request, TT Circuit Assen will immediately end this processing - including third-party processing - of personal data (or cause it to be ended) without charge.

IX. Amendments

It is permitted to amend these Privacy & Security rules. The amended rules then apply from the date of publication on the TT Circuit Assen website onwards.
